Chuck Spencer’s musical journey began at age 14 when he received his first guitar as a Christmas gift that sparked a lifelong passion. Originally from High Point and now based in Thomasville, Chuck developed a deep love for fingerstyle guitar, drawing inspiration from artists such as Leo Kottke, James Taylor, and John Prine.

Following his retirement in 2017, Chuck devoted himself fully to the instrument, playing daily and refining his craft. Encouraged by fellow musicians, especially through a serendipitous meeting with Kelly Jackson at an open mic, he began performing publicly for the first time.

Chuck’s playing blends intricate fingerpicking, arpeggios, and melodic storytelling, offering listeners an intimate and soulful musical experience.
