Student Art Exhibition

At Arts Davidson County, we know the arts are more than just creative expression, they are the heartbeat of a thriving community. When young people create, they learn to think critically, solve problems, share stories, and connect with others in meaningful ways. Our Student Art Exhibitions honor that creativity, giving students a moment in the spotlight and showing them their voices matter.

Each year, Arts Davidson County proudly hosts two Student Art Exhibits at Arts | Theatre 202 in Uptown Lexington:
-
Fall Exhibit (Grades 6-12) Thursday, November 6, 2025 Floating 6-8pm
-
Spring Exhibit (Grades (K-8) March 2025 Date TBA Floating 6-8pm

Both events are free and open to the public, drawing families, teachers, classmates, and neighbors together to celebrate the extraordinary imagination of Davidson County's students.

WHY THESE EXHIBITS MATTER
When a student sees their work displayed in a professional gallery setting, it is transformative. They feel a sense of pride, accomplishment, and belonging knowing their creativity is valued by their community.
-
Every student receives a Certificate of Excellence, honoring their achievement.
-
Outstanding works in each grade range and medium are recognized with Excellence in Arts Awards: thoughtfully chosen supplies and resources that inspire students to continue their artistic journey.
-
The exhibitions showcase a wide range of mediums, from painting and drawing to sculpture, photography, and mixed media.

These events do more than recognize individual talent. They foster community pride, strengthen ties between families and schools, and help ensure the arts remain a vital part of education and daily life in Davdison County.
