Set in the cozy town of Hopewood Falls, The Holiday Channel Christmas Movie Wonderthon brings together six hilarious and intertwined love stories filled with small-town charm, romantic mix-ups, and holiday magic. From secret princes and overworked executives to small-town bakers and misunderstood Santas, this fast-paced comedy celebrates and pokes fun at every holiday movie cliché in the book.

Cast of Characters
Total Roles: 7 Women | 7 Men | 4 Any Gender
Primary Roles Include:

Narrator 1 & 2 – Quick-witted guides with dry humor and sharp timing.

Holly – The sweet inn owner with a heart of gold.

Brett – The secretly royal visitor.

Joy & Paul – Dueling romance novelists.

Carol & Jackson – The war reporter and her hometown vet.

Merry & Blake – A city exec and a rugged tree farmer.

Kris & Noelle – A hesitant Santa-in-training and an ornament shop owner.

Sven, Rita, Bridgette – A prince, a movie star in disguise, and the ultimate best friend.
Supporting Roles:
Laertes (villainous developer), Jimmy (the ex), TSA Agent, and various townsfolk of Hopewood Falls.
Who Should Audition
Teens and young adults (ages 13+) who love comedy, big characters, and holiday chaos! No experience necessary—just bring your enthusiasm, a sense of humor, and your best small-town holiday smile.

Audition Details
Auditions will include cold reads from the script and a little improv for fun. No preparation needed. Just bring your creativity, energy, and best small-town holiday movie smile.

If you can’t attend in person, video auditions will be accepted now through November 1 at 5:00 PM.
Email submissions to amanda@artsdavidsoncounty.org with the subject line “Holiday Channel Audition – [Your Name].”
Your Video Should Include:

Slate: Introduce yourself with your name, age (if under 18), and where you’re from.

Reading: Choose and perform one short comedic monologue (30–60 seconds) OR a holiday movie-style scene that shows your personality and timing.
If you don’t have a monologue, you can perform a favorite movie or TV line in your best “Hallmark movie” style. -
Improv Prompt (for fun): Pick one of the following and improvise for about 30 seconds:

You’ve just run into your ex at the town Christmas tree lot.

You’re a baker whose gingerbread cookies are magically coming to life.

You just found out the person you’ve been flirting with all season is secretly a prince.

Optional: If you’d like, tell us what kind of character you’re most interested in playing (funny, dramatic, over-the-top romantic, etc.).
Tips:

Phone recordings are perfectly fine! Just make sure you’re in good light and we can hear you clearly.

Keep it simple and have fun with it — we’re looking for energy, humor, and personality.
