Grassroots Arts Program (GAP)
Arts Davidson County administers the North Carolina Arts Council Grassroots Arts Program (GAP) sub-grant awards. Nonprofit organizations in the county are eligible to apply for sub-grants in support of arts operations and programming. Arts programming activities include arts education, artist-in-school events, concerts, festivals, galleries, literary arts, performing arts, and visual arts events.
We are thrilled to announce the reopening of our Grassroots Arts Program application, thanks to additional arts funding allocated to Davidson County. This boost stems from a remarkable increase of $2.5 million in annual funding for the North Carolina Arts Council’s Grassroots Arts Program—a program vital to our community's creative heartbeat.
Arts Davidson County is now eagerly accepting applications for arts programs in 2023/2024. You can access grant guidelines and the application form for the North Carolina Arts Council’s Grassroots Arts Program via the link below.
The deadline for submitting your grant is January 31, 2024, at 5 pm.
For those familiar with the process and newcomers alike, Arts Davidson County is hosting essential Grassroots Arts Program Grant Workshops on Tuesday, January 9, at 11 am and 6 pm. Attendance is mandatory for all applicants or a designated representative from their organization, if you did not previously attend this grant cycle.
Kindly RSVP to email@example.com, specifying which workshop you plan to attend.
Grant applications undergo thorough evaluation by a diverse panel of community members, with final decisions made by Arts Davidson County’s esteemed Board of Directors. Award announcements are scheduled for February.
Great news: You may reapply for additional program funding even if you previously applied to the earlier grant cycle. We're committed to supporting your ongoing creative endeavors!
