Arts Davidson County is taking it's 3rd annual ART NOTION to the streets of Uptown Lexington during it's Art Summer Stroll August 16th. Artwork from this call will be placed in the Civic Center as well as in local businesses in the Uptown area.
 
During the Art Summer Stroll on August 16th the Community will pick up an Art Crawl map beginning at 5pm at the Edward C. Smith Civic Center which will direct them to art and music/dance performances throughout Uptown Lexington. 

Art NOTION was an event created to celebrate North Carolina Arts Council’s 50th Anniversary in 2017. It featured 50 artists of Davidson County and served as an art show and silent auction.  Art Notion has transformed into a multimedia Art Show that brings together all forms of art in one venue including but not limited to: visual art, photography, craft, sculpture, singer, music performers, recorded musicians, industrial art, graphic art, theater, video, written and spoken words. Art Notion gives everyone a chance to be seen or discovered.  Also, giving our citizens an opportunity to enjoy and applaud our creative community.
