Visit Lexington NC is our local tourism and visitor center located in Uptown Lexington right next to Conrad & Hinkle. They have invited Arts Davidson County to maintain a permanent exhibit of 2D and 3D art created by our members. This is a MEMBERS ONLY permanent juried exhibit and we are excited and grateful for this opportunity!

Each exhibit will begin at the first of every month starting in July 2025 and will be up for one month. Please see details below and let's get the calendar booked!

Please see below for more information or contact Wanda Robinson or Amanda Feliciano for additional questions.

The Visitor Center has invited Arts Davidson County's artist members to exhibit their art on a huge wall in their public space. This would be a permanent ongoing/rotating exhibit, where we would spotlight the work of 3 different artists every month. We will be launching our first exhibit ready by July 1, 2025 and rotate new artists at the beginning of every month thereafter.

While our art is on display at the visitor center, it can be for sale or not -- it's entirely up to the artists who are exhibiting. There is no commission being taken by the visitor center, and the same arrangement will be in place for commission owed to ADC as when we exhibit at the gallery at Arts Theatre | 202.

For the month of July, the exhibit will need to be limited to 2-D artists. The visitor center is doing some re-arranging of fixtures and furniture and starting in August they would be happy to accommodate 3-D art of any kind. We will have to provide the display table for the 3-D art and it needs to be no more than 6 feet long.

The Visitor Center has asked us to communicate to our artists that all art is welcome, but it must be "G" rated and not political or controversial in any manner. They are welcoming us with open arms and if you're ever unsure of whether a piece would be marginally objectionable, please let's run it by them before you exclude a piece you're considering putting on display.

So now the fun part ... let's get the calendar filled up for the coming months! We are booked for July and August and need to start planning who will exhibit for September through the end of this year (and into 2026 would be wonderful!). Each artist may exhibit 3-6 pieces of art (nothing too small and nothing larger than 16x20).

All art must be finished and properly wired for hanging. Canvas sides must be painted, or the canvas will need to be framed. No sawtooth hangers will be permitted due to public safety in a place where there will be high traffic and high probability of art being handled by the public. (Sawtooth hangers have a tendency to come loose.)

Are you ready to have your art seen at a very visible and busy corner location in Uptown Lexington? Let's do this! Contact Wanda Robinson or Amanda Feliciano today and get on the schedule!
