About The Event
"I’m a horned figure from the wilderness, meant to ward off evil spirits and serve as a reminder of nature's harsh balance, long before I ever met that jolly Saint Nicholas.
I am a creature of folklore, not a theological entity. I work in tandem with the Saint, a duality of reward (Nicholas) and punishment (me), designed to scare children into good behavior and the survival and cooperation needed to endure winter.
I don't seek to corrupt souls; I enforce communal discipline. I am the necessary shadow to Nicholas's light, the consequences in an otherwise all-rewarding season."
